My Services
In addition to the packages below, I am also available for 30- and 60-minute standalone sessions as needed. Initial sessions are typically 60 minutes.
Consultation calls (15-30 minutes) are always free.
Impromptu day at the zoo.
Last-minute help for spontaneous adventures.
This is a one-hour phone conversation where you can tell me about your child(ren), your family, yourself, and the barriers youāre facing when it comes to trips and special events. Recommended at least 2 days in advance of your trip or event.
A weekend in the country.
Advanced prep for a shorter trip.
Youāll fill out a survey and a checklist about you/your childās needs. Then, we spend one hour on the phone or Zoom (or in-person) going over everything, discussing potential strategies, and creating a game plan. Iāll share additional resources with you via e-mail as needed, and we will follow-up with a shorter phone call a few days before your event or trip to make sure you feel ready. Recommended at least one week in advance of your trip or event.
Cross-country road trips and theme park stays.
A comprehensive plan for larger getaways.
Youāll complete a survey and checklist, and weāll spend one hour discussing everything about your goals and upcoming event/trip. Iāll give you concrete strategies, share tools that might be helpful for you to trial, and teach you how to implement them. A map of the Magic Kingdom with pre-planned quiet ācalm downā spots? A custom visual schedule for your child? A sensory toolkit with headphones, fidgets, and putty for you take with you? Done, done, and done. Letās make this a trip to remember. Recommended at least 2 weeks (up to 2 months) in advance of your trip or event.
Always Available: Continuous Sensory Coaching Sessions
We will meet weekly, biweekly, or monthly to discuss day-to-day sensory needs, family dynamics, co-regulation, self-regulation, sensory processing skills in a variety of settings (both home and community), appropriate tools, and strategies. We decide together how to measure progress, and check in to make sure everything we do is being implemented as effectively as possible.
How do I know if these services are right for me?
If you feel that there are barriers standing in the way of you and your familyās ability to participate in special events or vacations, please reach out. Whether itās your childrenās sensory needs or your own, I am here to help you find practical, easy-to-implement strategies and accommodations for daily living that can be adapted to travel and significant occasions. My focus is largely on sensory processing differences, which may exist on their own without any related diagnosis, or may be a part of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder, misophonia, generalized anxiety disorder, or developmental delays. Sensory processing differences are also common in children and adults with a history of trauma. But Iāve also worked with children who have physical impairments, such as cerebral palsy, congenital anomalies, or a history of brain injury, cancer, and other complicated medical histories.
Maybe you suspect a sensory processing disorder. Maybe you donāt know whatās normal and whatās not. Maybe Dr. Google led you down a scary internet rabbit hole and you need help sorting out fact from fiction. Feel free to reach out, and we will discuss your needs more in-depth to figure out whatās best for you and your family (whether itās my services, another professionalās, or using other resources)!
